Chocolate Macaroons

Chocolate Macaroons:

Bring to a boil over medium heat, and boil four minutes:
2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
1/2 c milk
1/2 c cocoa

Add:
3 c oatmeal
1 c coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Working quickly, drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper and leave to cool.



This was a common treat in our household when I was growing up.

    I think I called those snickerdoodles? I used to love them, have not made them in yonks. Must do thank you.

    1. Found a gluten-free macaroon: cocoa powder, sweet coconut, shredded, and honey.

      Play with proportions to suit, mix and roll into little balls. If you want them fancier roll in fine coconut.

      Chill on plate in fridge.

      Taa daah. I ate the last two of mine at 3:24 a.m. this morning. I heard them calling.
