2 c dry white navy beans
6 c water (4c if using slowcooker)
1 tsp salt
1 c chopped onion
¼ c brown sugar
½ c molasses
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt (optional)
Soak beans overnight in water.
Add first amount of salt to
undrained beans; bring to a boil, cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, cover and bake 7 hours at 250F.
